GSIS Accreditation, Memberships, and Affiliations

GSIS distinguished itself by achieving accreditation with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in 2007, during in its first year of operation.

In 2009, the school became a member of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) upon its authorization to offer the IB Diploma Program, and is currently a candidate school for IBO authorization in both the Primary Years Program (PYP) and Middle Years Program (MYP).

GSIS offers a boarding program to students in grades 6-12 and is currently conducting a self-study that will culminate in ACSI boarding program accreditation in 2010.

GSIS is an active member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), the East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools (EARCOS) and the Korean-American Interscholastic Activities Conference (KAIAC).

The GSIS CEEB code is 682018 (used for college applications and reporting SAT scores).

In 2009, the school became an overseas test center for The College Board (PSAT and SAT). Its SAT test center code is 65170 (used only when registering for the SAT as the GSIS test center).

GSIS maintains associate membership status with the Korea Council of Overseas Schools (KORCOS) and international member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
