Arvind Tirkey (MYP/DP Individual & Societies Teacher), October 9th 2016
GSIS Business Plan Team (FBLA Club) participated in the KAIAC Business Plan Competition held at KIS on Saturday, October 08, 2016. Teams from KIS, SIS, SFS, CI, CDS, YISS, APIS & TCIS participated in this competition.
A new Business theme was given to make our Business plans on: "Assuming that North and South Korea will reunite in November 2016, create a business that would thrive in the context of social, cultural, economic, and educational changes."
Each team was tasked with creating different business ideas. Team GSIS team presented a very unique business idea in the field of hospitality industry resulting in them being recognized as the "Most Creative Team" and being presented with this beautiful team trophy.
GSIS team only fell short of four points to be able to enter the final round, and hence could not win any top position this time, but our spirits are high. With the confirmation that we were the most creative team at the competition, we will work on our business report and presentation next time and try to bring home other top awards as well.
Special thanks/credit goes to Chang Hee Han (Gr.12) who as the "President" of our GSIS FBLS team worked with the main Organizing Executive Team. He represented our school, worked and organized various competition sessions and excelled in the area of leadership. He was smart, sensible and efficient in making decisions, guiding participants as well as judging teachers and supporting the whole event.
Please congratulate the following students when you see them:
