Hello. As the new Secondary School Principal here at GSIS I want to extend a warm welcome to you as you explore all GSIS has to offer as one of the few schools offering a full K-12 International Baccalaureate Program in Korea. We are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in the USA, as well as by the IB Primary Years Program (PYP) and IB Diploma Program (DP) and the IB Middle Years Program (MYP). In addition to this rigorous academic program GSIS is fully committed to its mandate as a Christian International School focused on the holistic growth of each student.
I could not be more excited to be back in Korea after spending the last seven years working in higher education. This will be my 35th year living in Korea as the son of Salvation Army missionaries and as an international educator, coach and administrator. The faculty here at GSIS is committed to a focus on learning in the classroom and seeing each student develop in a way that would lay the groundwork for their matriculation to university and the life they will lead ahead.
GSIS is a school that develops the mind, the body and the soul of the student through the development of rich relationships with peers, teachers, coaches, directors, staff and administration. We are excited to include your child in the rigorous, well rounded school program we have to offer.
You can expect the following from the faculty, staff and administrative team:
What we expect from each student that comes to GSIS:
The Diploma program at GSIS continues to graduate outstanding university candidates who, as we celebrate our 10th year of existence as a school, are beginning to return to Asia to take up leadership positions in business, politics, education and media. I am excited to be a part of the growth plan for GSIS as we look to the next decade of a continued focus on excellence.
Dr. J.P. Rader
