Our History

Welcome to GSIS 

GSIS was founded in 2006 as a coeducational, Christian faith-based school with a boarding program in its early years. Today, GSIS operates as a day school, continuing to provide excellent international education grounded in faith and community. In a relatively short period of time, GSIS has become a benchmark for international education in Korea, offering aspirational academic programs taught by dedicated and inspiring teachers through interactive, thought-provoking lessons within a caring community.

The school’s strategic geographic location makes it an ideal international school for students and staff from all walks of life.

As one of the first IB schools in Korea, GSIS is proud that its students are offered places at some of the most prestigious universities around the world, and that its graduates go on to lead happy and fulfilling lives as global citizens.

In celebration of its 20th anniversary in 2026, the school continues to grow and evolve, strengthening its foundation while preparing students to thrive in an ever-changing global landscape.
