Nurturing Well-Being: From Early Years to Graduation
At GSIS, we are dedicated to a whole-school approach to well-being that supports every student from our youngest learners in the Early Years through to Secondary School. By integrating evidence-based tools like Komodo and the Character Strong framework, we ensure that care and character development evolve alongside our students at every stage of their growth. We provide a safe, inclusive environment where age-appropriate support, professional health services, and safeguarding measures empower all students to thrive throughout their entire educational journey.

SAFEGUARDING

Gyeonggi Suwon International School is an Associate Member of The Child Safety and Protection Network (CSPN) which is a group of agencies, organisations and international schools who have come together to collaborate, share resources, and develop best practice standards in the area of child safety. The Best Practice Standards establish consistent standards between and among agencies and facilitate ongoing networking, sharing of resources in both prevention and response and working together effectively on response teams.
Gyeonggi Suwon International School’s prevention strategies, policies, procedures and response protocols are all designed to ensure that all students are treated with respect and dignity and enjoy a safe environment in which they feel protected.
GSIS works with the National Child Protection Agency in South Korea, specifically the Gyeonggi Hwaseong Child Protection Agency. The GSIS Child Protection Policy has been derived from Child Safety Protection Network (CSPN) in collaboration with other international schools, the National Child Protection Agency (South Korea), and the Shanghai American School. These institutions have followed international law and standards from the United Nations and World Health Organization.
Who can you contact?
Nurse's Office
If you have any questions about school health services, including medication support or personal health matters, our full-time school nurse, Ms. Kim, is always happy to assist.
The Nurse’s Office is located on the second floor, next to the Elementary School classrooms, making it easily accessible for younger students. To ensure ongoing care for students attending after-school activities, an afternoon nurse is also available on campus each day.
